No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (17-11) beat on the road 10th ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (12-16) 88-84. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MLP Academics Heidelberg won third quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cuxhaven BasCats made 29-of-35 charity shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while MLP Academics Heidelberg only scored five points from the stripe. It was a great shooting night for Cuxhaven BasCats especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. 31 personal fouls committed by MLP Academics Heidelberg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Monyea Pratt (195-85, college: Stillman) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Jeremy Dunbar (195-88, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in 25 points. Four Cuxhaven BasCats players scored in double figures. American forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) produced 30 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Clint Sargent (193, college: S.Dakota St.) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Cuxhaven BasCats maintains fourth position with 17-11 record, which they share with Karlsruhe. MLP Academics Heidelberg at the other side keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost. Cuxhaven BasCats' next round opponent will be league's second-placed BG Goettingen at home and it may be the game of the week. MLP Academics Heidelberg will play against Kirchheim Knights (#15).
