Regular Season Round 28: Izmir BSB - Trabzonspor 55-77

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Trabzonspor (19-9) rolled over on the road bottom-ranked Izmir BSB (3-25) 77-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Trabzonspor. Izmir BSB was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trabzonspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Alican Guney (194-89, agency: 1x1 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Sercan Topcu (185-85) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Cengiz Aydin Ergen (-88) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Gurur Baybora (-90) added 13 points in the effort for Izmir BSB. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trabzonspor have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Izmir BSB stay dead last with 25 lost games. Trabzonspor will face Pertevniyal (#16) in Istanbul in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Izmir BSB will play on the road against Maliye Milli in Ankara.
