The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked BC Vienna (21-7) on the court of fifth ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Redwell Gunners Oberwart 88-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Vienna. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-78. American-Puerto Rican guard Richard Chaney (196-84, college: Troy) scored 30 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Seamus Boxley (201-82, college: Portland St.) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) with 30 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Ian Boylan (197-83, college: CS Northridge) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four BC Vienna players scored in double figures. Redwell Gunners Oberwart have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. BC Vienna at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart are looking forward to face Gussing Knights (#7) on the road in the next round. BC Vienna will play against the league's second-placed Xion Dukes (#2) in Klosterneuburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
