There was no surprise when 9th ranked Erdemir (9-14) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Anadolu Efes (19-4) 78-46. The game without a history. Anadolu Efes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Erdemir to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Erdemir 51-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Bosnian-Croatian center Stanko Barac (216-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Jordan Farmar (188-86, college: UCLA) accounted for 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. American guard Gerrod Henderson (192-78, college: Louisiana Tech) came up with 10 points and 6 rebounds and Slovenian forward Jure Balazic (204-80) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Erdemir in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Anadolu Efes. They maintain fourth place with 19-4 record. Erdemir at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Anadolu Efes' next round opponent will be TED Kolejliler (#7) in Ankara. Erdemir will play on the road against Olin Edirne.
