Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Timba Timosoara (8-21) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Ploiesti (22-7) 107-85 on Thursday. The game without a history. Ploiesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ploiesti forced 22 Timba Timosoara turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Timba Timosoara's players. Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 assists for the winners and Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Court Side) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Canadian forward Denham Brown (198-83, college: Connecticut) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin, agency: I.D.S. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ploiesti have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Targu Mures. Newly promoted Timba Timosoara keeps the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Ploiesti will face Giurgiu (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
