An interesting game for BG Goettingen (21-8) which played road game in Cuxhaven against 4th placed Cuxhaven BasCats (17-12). Second ranked BG Goettingen had an easy win 92-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cuxhaven BasCats. The game without a history. BG Goettingen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Guard Marco Grimaldi (188-83) stepped up and scored 10 points and 9 assists for the winners and American forward Ramon Harris (201-88, college: Kentucky) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. BG Goettingen's coach Johannes Roijakkers felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American swingman Jeremy Dunbar (195-88, college: Arkansas Tech) responded with 22 points and American forward Monyea Pratt (195-85, college: Stillman) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. BG Goettingen maintains second place with 21-8 record behind leader Vechta. Cuxhaven BasCats at the other side keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe. BG Goettingen will play against Kirchheim Knights (#15) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cuxhaven BasCats will play against BG Karlsruhe (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
