The game in Kedainiai supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Siauliai (11-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Nevezis (8-10). Siauliai smashed Nevezis 77-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Siauliai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nevezis' 34. Siauliai forced 20 Nevezis turnovers and outrebounded them 43-23 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international Aurimas Kieza (202-82, college: Hofstra) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ukrainian point guard Klym Artamonov (183-93) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Siauliai's coach Gediminas Petrauskas felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and center Gediminas Zyle (210-88) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Siauliai have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Nevezis lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Siauliai will face Lietuvos rytas (#7) in Vilnius in the next round.
