NBL top team - Neftochimic (22-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Haskovo 2012 (10-14) in Burgas 83-58. The game without a history. Neftochimic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ashley Gayle (193-90, college: Texas, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian-Russian guard Anna Sokolan (178-84) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five Neftochimic players scored in double figures. Neftochimic's coach Peter Marinov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Latvian center Anita Teilane (196-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian guard Nikolina Nikolic (178-91) added 16 points (made all of her eight free throws) in the effort for Haskovo 2012. Neftochimic have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-2 record. Haskovo 2012 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost.
