Regular Season Round 30: Timba Timis. - Gaz Metan 75-96

Date: April 2, 2013
There was no surprise in Timisoara where 13th ranked Timba Timosoara (8-22) was crushed by fifth ranked Gaz Metan (20-10) 96-75 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Gaz Metan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Serbian center Zoran Krstanovic (204-82, agency: TSS Management) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin-Serbian forward Ivan Ivanovic (205-80, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Gaz Metan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Denham Brown (198-83, college: Connecticut) with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaz Metan maintains fifth position with 20-10 record, which they share with Timisoara and U.Mobitel.CN. Timba Timosoara lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 22 games lost.
