Regular Season Round 25: Tofas - Galatasaray 52-66

TBL top team - Galatasaray (22-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Tofas (11-14) in Bursa 66-52. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tofas. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-52. Galatasaray dominated on the defensive end, holding Tofas to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Boniface Ndong (213-77) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Engin Atsur (193-84, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Forward Inanc Koc (202-79) answered with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Dogan Senli (204-92) added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tofas. Tofas' coach Ahmet Caki rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Galatasaray have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-3 record. Tofas at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Galatasaray are looking forward to face league's second-placed Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tofas will play on the road against Antalya (#15) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
