Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked 55 Genclik (8-15) lost to second ranked Botas (19-3) in Adana 59-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Botas. 55 Genclik was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Botas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to 55 Genclik's 38. Botas forced 27 55 Genclik turnovers. It was a good game for center Tilbe Senyurek (188-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. point guard Busra Akbas (170-95) contributed with 17 points, 8 assists and 8 steals for the winners. Botas' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward Nola Taylor (188-87, college: Tex.A&M-Comm.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and center Neslihan Ozkan (-93) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for 55 Genclik. Newly promoted Botas maintains second position in Group F with 19-3 record having five points less than leader Cankaya. 55 Genclik lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 15 games lost. Botas will face Mersin Univ. (#5) at home in the next round. 55 Genclik will play against the league's leader Orduspor.
