Rather expected game when 6th ranked Burhaniye Bld (6-15) lost to third ranked Bursa BSB (17-5) in Balikesir 67-83 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bursa BSB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Burhaniye Bld's 26. Bursa BSB forced 23 Burhaniye Bld turnovers and outrebounded them 44-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American center Whitney Jones (183-87, college: Arkansas) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Gamze Turkoglu (-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Bursa BSB's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Hande Celebi (-90) replied with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Cansu Meryem Altay (-95) added 20 points in the effort for Burhaniye Bld. Bursa BSB have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group E with 17-5 record having seven points less than leader Cankaya. Burhaniye Bld lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 15 games lost.
