TB2L top team - Usak (23-8) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Bandirma Kir. (15-16) in Balikesir 95-84. Bandirma Kir. was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 51-38 second half run of Usak. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 steals (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). His fellow American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) helped adding 21 points and 4 blocks. Usak's coach Ozan Bulkaz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Yigitcan Turna (187-87) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Usak maintains first place with 23-8 record. Bandirma Kir. at the other side keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. Usak will play against Trabzonspor (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bandirma Kir. will play against Istanbulspor (#17) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
