Very predictable result in Klaipeda where second ranked Neptunas (16-4) smashed 8th ranked Nevezis (8-11) 102-61 on Friday. The game without a history. Neptunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Nevezis' 38. Neptunas forced 23 Nevezis turnovers and outrebounded them 43-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Nevezis was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Martynas Mazeika (191-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) who added 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Neptunas' coach Kazys Maksvytis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Andrius Aleksandrovas (197-86) responded with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Rudupis. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost.
