Regular Season Round 28: LSU-Baltai - Pieno Zvaigzdes 72-102

Everything went according to plan in Kaunas where fourth ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes (12-8) outscored 10th ranked LSU-Baltai (5-15) 102-72 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Pieno Zvaigzdes. LSU-Baltai was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pieno Zvaigzdes dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to LSU-Baltai's 38. They outrebounded LSU-Baltai 35-20 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Justas Sinica (203-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Vaidas Cepukaitis (207-89, agency: Interperformances) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Pieno Zvaigzdes players scored in double figures. Pieno Zvaigzdes' coach Mindaugas Lukosius felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) responded with 28 points and Zygimantas Skucas (200-92) scored 18 points. Pieno Zvaigzdes moved-up to third place, which they share with Siauliai. LSU-Baltai lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 15 games lost.
