Important game to mention about took place in Izmir. Fourteenth ranked Gelisim (13-19) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Vestel (17-15) 75-73 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 2 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jermaine Dearman (202-80, college: S.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 6 rebounds and guard Emir Gokalp (185-95) who added 16 points during the contest. American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88, agency: EM-PA) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Vestel's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gelisim moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Vestel lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. Gelisim will face Final Genclik (#16) in Bursa in the next round.
