Everything went according to plan in Bursa where eighth ranked Tofas (11-15) beat 11th ranked Aliaga (9-18) 76-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Joshua Heytvelt (210-86, college: Gonzaga) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Lithuanian guard Mindaugas Lukauskis (198-79) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach Ahmet Caki used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Marcus Arnold (207-84, college: Illinois, agency: Stanley International) who recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Lionel Chalmers (184-80, college: Xavier) added 17 points respectively. Tofas maintains eighth place with 11-15 record. Aliaga lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Tofas will meet higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aliaga will play against the league's second-placed Fenerbahce Ulker (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
