The game in Alchevsk supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Tornado (19-17) played at the court of 7th ranked Koksokh-Stal (14-22). Tornado did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 93-73 on Saturday. Tornado made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sergey Lapenko (196-85) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Oleksandr Gudkov (204-90) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Boris Bereziuk (196-87) with 23 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Jan Selivanov (200-79) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tornado have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with VolinBasket. Loser Koksokh-Stal keeps the seventh position with 22 games lost. They share it with Kirovograd. Tornado will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Koksokh-Stal will play again against Tornado (#5) in Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
