Regular Season Round 33: Phoenix Hagen - Art.Dragons 83-93

Very significant was Artland Dragons' (#7) 93-83 road victory against 6th ranked Phoenix Hagen. The game was mostly controlled by Artland Dragons. Phoenix Hagen was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Artland Dragons shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Phoenix Hagen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Bryce Taylor (196-86) nailed 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Bradley Buckman (203-84, college: Texas) accounted for 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mark Dorris (188-85, college: Marshall, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Phoenix Hagen in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Artland Dragons (18-14) moved-up to sixth place. Phoenix Hagen at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 15 games lost. Artland Dragons will play against TBB Trier (#12) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Phoenix Hagen will play against Mitteldeutscher BC (#15) in Weissenfels and hopes to get back on the winning track.
