There was an upset in Tuebingen where higher ranked Walter Tigers (16-17) were crushed by sixteenth ranked New Yorker Phantoms (13-19) 88-69 on Saturday. American guard Immanuel McElroy (193-80, college: Cincinnati) stepped up and scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Czech Lubos Barton (202-80, college: Valparaiso) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four New Yorker Phantoms players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Tyrone Nash (203-88, college: Notre Dame) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. New Yorker Phantoms moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser Walter Tigers keep the tenth position with 17 games lost. New Yorker Phantoms will face higher ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
