Second Stage Round 9: Botas - Gure 66-45

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Adana. Second ranked Botas faced 3rd placed Gure. Host Botas (21-4) smashed guests from Balikesir (16-11) 66-45. Botas dominated on the defensive end, holding Gure to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Gure 52-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Tilbe Senyurek (188-95) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Cansu Yetis (168-93) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ebru Unal (-88) who recorded 8 points and 5 rebounds and center Deniz Selin Ekiz (189-89) added 5 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Botas maintains second place in Group F with 21-4 record having six points less than leader Cankaya. Gure lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 11 games lost. Botas will face league's leader Orduspor at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gure will play against 55 Genclik in Samsun.
