There was no surprise in Quakenbrueck where 12th ranked TBB Trier (15-19) was defeated by sixth ranked Artland Dragons (20-14) 78-71. TBB Trier was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 21-13 charge of Artland Dragons, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Bryce Taylor (196-86) notched 16 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Bradley Buckman (203-84, college: Texas) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons' coach Stefan Koch allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
