No shocking result in a game in Izmir where first ranked Altay Konak (26-1) smashed 6th ranked Burhaniye Bld (7-17) 97-42 on Sunday. Altay Konak dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Burhaniye Bld's 26. Altay Konak forced 20 Burhaniye Bld turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Altay Konak especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Burhaniye Bld's players. The best player for the winners was forward Seda Guclu (182-88) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Bengisu Muezzinler (-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Altay Konak players scored in double figures. Altay Konak's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Hande Celebi (-90) who recorded 20 points and Cansu Meryem Altay (-95) added 8 points respectively.
