Second Stage Round 10: Sirince - Mersin Univ. 65-71

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Sirince (16-12) against fifth ranked Mersin Univ. (12-14) on Saturday night. Host Sirince was defeated by Mersin Univ. in a tough game in Hatay 65-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sirince. Sirince was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. The former international forward Ilkay Masa (186-84) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Gizem Kumandanoglu (-94) chipped in 21 points, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side Hatice Uredi (-93) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and center Melike Yalcinkaya (189-93) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sirince players scored in double figures. Mersin Univ. maintains fifth position in Group F with 12-14 record. Newly promoted Sirince dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost.
