Regular Season Round 30: Antalya - Hacettepe 70-88

Bottom-ranked Hacettepe managed to get a sixth victory. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Antalya 88-70. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 18-point difference proves that Hacettepe was well-prepared to that game. It looked good early as Antalya took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hacettepe took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 18 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Antalya's 40. It was a good game for American point guard Anthony Grundy (189-79, college: N.Carolina St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Muhammed Baygul (191-92) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Hacettepe players scored in double figures. Center Eren Beyaz (208-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Reha Oz (200-78) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Antalya. Antalya's coach Timucin Meric rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hacettepe (6-24) moved-up to fifteenth place. Antalya lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom.
