The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Artland Dragons as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Artland Dragons defeated bottom-ranked Walter Tigers in Quakenbrueck 78-60. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Artland Dragons forced 21 Walter Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kenny Frease (212-89, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Brandon Thomas (198-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 16 points for the winners.
