A very close game took place in Quakenbrueck between Artland Dragons and ALBA Berlin. Top-ranked Artland Dragons (2-0) got a very close home victory over bottom-ranked ALBA Berlin (0-1). Artland Dragons managed to escape with a 1-point win 67-66 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard David Holston (169-86, college: Chicago St., agency: Priority Sports) supported him with 8 points and 5 rebounds.
