There was no surprise in Klaipeda where Lietkabelis (0-3) was defeated by Neptunas (3-2) 84-79. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-20. But Lietkabelis won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Neptunas won last quarter 20-16. It was a great shooting night for Neptunas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Guard Martynas Mazeika (191-85, agency: Interperformances) notched 23 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international point guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: American) supported him with 14 points. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) by American center Ryan Olander (213-90, college: Fairfield, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Lietkabelis. Nigerian forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
