Regular Season Round 4: Aalborg - Horsens IC 71-84

Another interesting game for Horsens IC (1-2) which played on the court of bottom-ranked Aalborg (0-3). Eighth ranked Horsens IC had an easy win 84-71. It looked good early as Aalborg took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Horsens IC took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 13 points. Aalborg was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (199-85) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Calvin Haynes (187-87, college: Oregon St.) who added 27 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Trinidad and Tobago-Canadian point guard Joey Haywood (185-84, college: St.Mary's) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and forward Mads Rasmussen (195-88) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Horsens IC left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. It was Aalborg's third loss in a row. They still closes the standings with three games lost. Horsens IC will play against league's second-placed Randers at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aalborg will play against Naestved (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
