Regular Season Round 3: Vilnius-MRU - Olimpas 87-63

We should mention about the upset which took place in Vilnius, where Olimpas (0-3) was outleveled in a road game by Vilnius-MRU (1-2) 87-63 on Friday. The game without a history. Vilnius-MRU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vilnius-MRU forced 19 Olimpas turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Paulius Semaska (186-93) who scored 15 points and 5 assists. Forward Tadas Padegimas (203-90) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Vilnius-MRU players scored in double figures. Vilnius-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was center Deividas Keburys (201-90) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and French forward Dainius Vaitelis (200-86) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Vilnius-MRU will face Mazeikiai (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpas will play against Silute (#7) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
