Regular Season Round 3: Herner - Halle 65-75

Very predictable result when SV Halle Lions (3-0) won against on the road Herner TC (0-3) 75-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by SV Halle Lions. Herner TC managed to win third quarter 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SV Halle Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Herner TC's 38. It was an exceptional evening for American center Ebony Ellis (189-88, college: N.Illinois) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. Slovakian Michaela Abelova (184-85) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Four SV Halle Lions players scored in double figures. American point guard Quenese Davis (177-88, college: San Diego St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and forward Katharina Mueller (181-94) added 15 points respectively for Herner TC in the defeat. SV Halle Lions will meet at home ChemCats Chemnitz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Herner TC will play against BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#8) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
