Regular Season Round 2: Satu Mare - Brasov 62-53

Date: October 12, 2013
Rather expected game when Brasov (0-2) lost on the road to Satu Mare (2-0) 62-53 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 62-53. Satu Mare dominated on the defensive end, holding Brasov to just 6 points in third quarter. The former international swingman Andreea Orosz (183-86) notched 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Kortni Jones (175-91, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Interperformances) supported her with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds by Serbian center Vladinka Erak (190-84) did not help to save the game for Brasov. Serbian guard Natasa Bucevac (179-85) added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Satu Mare will meet Sf.Gheorghe (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Brasov will play against Galati (#7).
