Very significant was Rotenburg/Scheessel's (#1) 39-point road victory against TG Neuss in North 85-46. The game without a history. Rotenburg/Scheessel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 26-of-31 charity shots (83.9 percent) during the game, while TG Neuss only scored six points from the stripe. Rotenburg/Scheessel forced 21 TG Neuss turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Janae Young (183-87, college: Pacific) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Emma lina Stach (175-96) accounted for 17 points and 5 steals for the winning side. Four Rotenburg/Scheessel players scored in double figures. American point guard Shacondra James (172, college: Cent.Florida) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Hannah Wischnitzki (170) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for TG Neuss in the defeat. TG Neuss' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rotenburg/Scheessel will play against Hagen Phoenix (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TG Neuss will play against SG BBZ Opladen (#5) in Leverkusen and hope to get back on the winning track.
