Regular Season Round 4: Art.Dragons - Brose Bask. 71-68

The most exciting game of round 4 in the BBL took place in Quakenbrueck. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Brose Bask. (2-2) to fifth ranked Artland Dragons (3-1) 71-68 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 36-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Brandon Thomas (198-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Chad Toppert (199-85, college: N.Mexico) who added 12 points during the contest. At the losing side American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) responded with 12 points and 4 assists and the former international center Maik Zirbes (208-90, agency: LUMANI 10.7) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Brose Bask. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Artland Dragons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with NY Phantoms and Telekom Bsk. Defending champion Brose Bask. dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Artland Dragons is looking forward to face SC Rasta Vechta (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brose Bask. will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#17) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
