Regular Season Round 3: Stevnsgade - Lemvig 67-53

An exciting game was played in Stevnsgade. Stevnsgade faced Lemvig. Host Stevnsgade (3-0) defeated guests from Lemvig (1-2) 67-53. The game was mostly controlled by Stevnsgade. Lemvig managed to win third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lemvig to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Stevnsgade forced 23 Lemvig turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Julie Forster (183-91, college: Albany) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Sarah Eichler (180-91, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Stevnsgade's coach Mogens Tygesen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was FYR Macedonian point guard Ivana Udovalieva (172-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Raven Berry (185, college: SIU Edwardsville) added 16 points respectively. Stevnsgade is looking forward to face Horsholm (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lemvig will play against Aabyhoj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
