Everything went according to plan when Gruner Stern Keltern (3-0) outscored on the road Friendsfactory Germering (0-3) 77-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Gruner Stern Keltern. Friendsfactory Germering was better in fourth quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Gruner Stern Keltern especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 72.7 percentage. It was a great evening for naturalized American guard Margaret Dwyer (185-85, college: Missouri St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Lea Vatthauer (184-90) helped adding 15 points. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Jezabel Ohanian (170-77) with 13 points and the former international power forward Corry Berger (192-82, college: USF) scored 12 points. Gruner Stern Keltern will face ASC Theresianum Mainz (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Friendsfactory Germering will play against BasCats Heidelberg (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
