Regular Season Round 3: Saarlouis - Marburg 70-72

A very close game took place in Saarlouis between BC Pharmaserv Marburg and TV Saarlouis Royals. BC Pharmaserv Marburg (1-2) got a very close victory on the road over TV Saarlouis Royals (0-3). BC Pharmaserv Marburg managed to escape with a 2-point win 72-70 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 19-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Kellindra Zackery (182-88, college: Newman) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Finja Schaake (179-92) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Dutch swingman Jamailah Adams (180-93) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively for TV Saarlouis Royals in the defeat. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will meet at home Herner TC (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against Rhein Main Baskets in Langen and hope to get finally their first victory.
