Very important is a home loss of TSV Amicitia (2-1) against Rhein MB II (1-2) on Sunday night. Host TSV Amicitia was defeated by Rhein MB II in a tough game in Viernheim 61-70. TSV Amicitia was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Strangely TSV Amicitia outrebounded Rhein MB II 25-12. It was a great evening for Kristin Annawald (184-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Nadine Ripper (175-88) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was American forward Alysa Horn (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) with 26 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sidney Parsons (168-87, college: Bridgeport) scored 16 points. Rhein MB II will face Weiterstadt (#8) at home in the next round. TSV Amicitia will play against Speyer / Schifferstadt (#5) in Dudenhofen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
