Regular Season Round 2: Mykolaiv - BC Kyiv 78-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Mykolaiv's (1-1) home victory over BC Kyiv (0-3) 78-65 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Mykolaiv. BC Kyiv was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mykolaiv dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to BC Kyiv's 32. Forward Alexander Sizov (199-88) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian power forward Mateo Kedzo (206-84) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. International Vladislav Podolian (194-86) responded with 15 points and American point guard Lee Humphrey (189-84, college: Florida) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mykolaiv will face Cherkasy (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BC Kyiv will play against Cherkasy (#4).
