Regular Season Round 2: BC Donetsk - Azovmash 79-71

BC Donetsk defeated Azovmash at home 79-71. Azovmash trailed by 17 points at halftime and as many as 19 after three quarters before a 23-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 71-79 at the end of the game. BC Donetsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Georgian point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86) chipped in 15 points during the contest. BC Donetsk's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Australian-Dutch power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Derrick Low (196-86, college: Washington St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Azovmash will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. BC Donetsk will try to continue on its current victory against SC Kryvbas in Krivoy Rog.
