The game in Sfantu Gheorghe supposed to be also worth to mention about. Satu Mare (2-1) played at the court of Sf.Gheorghe (2-1). Sf.Gheorghe smashed Satu Mare 87-59. The game was mostly controlled by Sf.Gheorghe. Satu Mare was better in second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sf.Gheorghe dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Satu Mare's 34. They outrebounded Satu Mare 46-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Swedish guard Kalis Loyd (188-89, college: Lamar) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Samantha Prahalis (170-90, college: Ohio St.) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Sf.Gheorghe players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Andreea Orosz (183-86) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and international center Cristiana Cutas (187-84) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Galati (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Satu Mare will play against Targu Mures (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
