Regular Season Round 5: s.Oliver Baskets - ALBA 67-75

Bottom-ranked s Oliver Baskets (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-67 loss to twelfth ranked ALBA Berlin (2-1) in Wuerzburg. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But s Oliver Baskets won third quarter 24-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to s Oliver Baskets' 22. American-Polish point guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) nailed 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Canadian-Irish power forward Levon Kendall (209-84, college: Pittsburgh) accounted for 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: Three Eye Sports) came up with 15 points and the former international center Christopher McNaughton (211-82, college: Bucknell, agency: Pro One Sports) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for s Oliver Baskets in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. ALBA Berlin moved-up to tenth place. s Oliver Baskets lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. ALBA Berlin's next round opponent will be Mitteldeutscher BC (#16) in Weissenfels which should be theoretically an easy game. s Oliver Baskets will play on the road against Artland Dragons in Quakenbrueck and look forward to get finally their first victory.
