Undefeated Stevnsgade (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of seventh ranked Horsholm on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Horsholm 86-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stevnsgade. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. Stevnsgade managed to win second period 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsholm forced 23 Stevnsgade turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Horsholm especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Guard Emilie Schirmer (178-90) fired 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Amalie Bonde (167-89) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Five Horsholm players scored in double figures. American forward Julie Forster (183-91, college: Albany) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 24 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Sarah Eichler (180-91, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsholm (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lemvig. Newly promoted Stevnsgade keeps the third position with one game lost. Horsholm is looking forward to face Lemvig (#6) on the road in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against Vaerlose and is hoping to win this game.
