Herner TC's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Marburg, where they defeated BC Pharmaserv Marburg (1-3) 82-76. BC Pharmaserv Marburg was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 43-33 second half run of Herner TC. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Herner TC outrebounded BC Pharmaserv Marburg 39-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Quenese Davis (177-88, college: San Diego St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Katharina Mueller (181-94) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Herner TC's coach Marek Piotrowski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Kellindra Zackery (182-88, college: Newman) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Margret Skuballa (186-87) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Herner TC left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated BC Pharmaserv Marburg. Herner TC will play against bottom-ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
