Juventus can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Dzukija (1-5) 80-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Juventus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Dzukija's 28. They outrebounded Dzukija 50-32 including a 40-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Russian forward Nikita Barinov (203-91) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. point guard Aidas Viskontas (183-86) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Darius Gvezdauskas (191-88) produced 14 points and point guard Zydrunas Kelys (188-87) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Juventus went down to seventh position due to points difference, which they share with LSU-Atletas. Newly promoted Dzukija keeps the tenth place with five games lost. Juventus is looking forward to face higher ranked P.Zvaigzdes (#6) in Pasvalys in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dzukija will play at home against Lietkabelis (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
