Undefeated Phoenix Hagen (3-1) recorded its first loss in Bonn on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Telekom Bsk (4-1) 105-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Phoenix Hagen. The game without a history. Telekom Bsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Jamel McLean (203-88, college: Xavier) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 22 points. Four Telekom Bsk players scored in double figures. American forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and naturalized Russian forward Nikita Khartchenkov (201-87) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Telekom Bsk have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Art.Dragons. Phoenix Hagen at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. Telekom Bsk is looking forward to face league's second-placed EWE Baskets in Oldenburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Phoenix Hagen will play at home against New Yorker Phantoms and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
