No shocking result in a game in Alytus where top-ranked Nevezis (3-0) defeated 10th ranked Dzukija (1-5) 82-76 on Tuesday. Dzukija was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 32-18 charge of Nevezis, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 22 Dzukija turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Vilmantas Dilys (208-87, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Nevezis players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard James Lewis (191-86, college: Fresno Pacific) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Darius Gvezdauskas (191-88) scored 20 points. Nevezis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lietuvos rytas. Newly promoted Dzukija keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Nevezis will meet at home league's leader Tonybet in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dzukija will play against Lietkabelis (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
