Regular Season Round 3: Ankara DSI Era - Hacettepe 74-81

We should mention about the upset which took place in Ankara, where Ankara DSI Era (1-2) lost at home to Hacettepe (2-1) 74-81. It looked good early as Ankara DSI Era took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hacettepe had a 21-13 second period charge getting the lead and Ankara DSI Era was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-81. It was a great shooting night for Hacettepe especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Nezih Ozbakir (206-80) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Power forward Polat Kocaoglu (205-79, agency: 1x1 Sports) accounted for 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Alti Sport) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ankara DSI Era in the defeat. Four Ankara DSI Era players scored in double figures. Hacettepe's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Maliye Milli.
