Regular Season Round 3: Darussafaka - Pamukkale 65-58

Darussafaka defeated Pamukkale in Istanbul 65-58. Pamukkale was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 22-8 charge of Darussafaka, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Pamukkale 47-31 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pamukkale was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international forward Ersin Goerkem (195-77) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. The former international Bekir Yarangume (200-79) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) answered with 23 points and guard Mahir Bayrak (180-79) added 4 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Pamukkale. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pamukkale will play next round against Bandirma Kir. trying to get back on the winning streak. Darussafaka will try to continue on its current victory against Final Genclik at Bursa.
