Regular Season Round 3: Azovmash - BC Kyiv 80-71

Rather predictable result in Mariupol where Azovmash (1-1) defeated BC Kyiv (1-4) 80-71 on Wednesday. BC Kyiv trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-80 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Derrick Low (196-86, college: Washington St.) who scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Australian-Dutch power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-92) who recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Dominique Coleman (190-84, college: Colorado, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. Five Azovmash and four BC Kyiv players scored in double figures. BC Kyiv's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Azovmash will meet at home DniproAzot (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Kyiv will play against BC Odesa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
